AIRER Catamaran FAQs

  • The AIRER is designed for calmer waters such as rivers and lakes. It is not suitable for rough strong tide waters typically found on coastal waters. Use only in suitable water conditions to ensure safety and optimal performance.

  • It takes about 20 minutes to inflate and deflate.

  • 6 psi recommended in flat parts, 3 psi max in round parts.

  • The AIRER is constructed from durable MSL PVC material with Double Wall Fabric, specifically designed to withstand sharp or rocky waters. In the unlikely event of damage, it can be easily repaired using patch material and glue.

  • The AIRER is powered by a motor with an integrated rechargeable battery. When fully charged, it can reach up to 6 knots and run for approximately 1.5 hours. Running at 50% speed (4 km/h) can extend the runtime up to 4 hours.

  • At half speed, the electric motor provides a range of approximately 4 hours, equivalent to half a day. For even greater range, consider adding a second battery that can be easily swapped within minutes, allowing you to go on longer boating expeditions.

  • The battery can be fully charged overnight, which takes approximately 8 hours.

  • The AIRER’s motor is not solely powered by solar energy, but rather the solar panels recharge the battery, which powers the motor. Under full sun, the 200W solar panels can sustain the motor for an entire day.

  • Depending on the time of year and the angle of the sun, the battery can take anywhere from 8 to 16 hours for a full recharge. To put it simply, with your Solar Panel basking in bright sunshine, you can expect to recharge your batteries within 1 to 2 days.

  • The AIRER has a maximum weight capacity of 589 kgs, which equates to approximately 6-7 passengers.

  • While one person can do it, it is recommended to have two people for ease and efficiency.
